"I was especially drawn to LiveLight's artistic approach to capturing life as it unfolds in one still photograph. Their portfolio wasn't a compilation of stiff bridal parties posing after the ceremony, but instead photos that evoked emotion and were works of art. I contacted them through the website's forum and received a prompt email response from Nicki to set up a time to chat and see if it was the right fit. As all bride's know, the wedding planning process can be very stressful. I knew choosing the right photographer was pivotal because the photos last FOREVER, so I was especially nervous. Immediately, when I sat down with Nicki and started expressing my vision for the wedding, I felt at ease. I can't express how wonderful it was throughout the entire wedding planning process to have someone who was calm, composed, and accommodating to work with. Nicki and her husband did an amazing job the day of to make sure nothing was missed, but still allowed us to live in the moments at our wedding. I received many compliments from family and friends on how hard they both worked the day of our wedding chasing us around! The best part of all is that, not only are these two amazing to work with, they produce the most GORGEOUS and genuine photos. My wedding album looks like it came straight out of a magazine. I couldn't have asked for a better pair and I have been in many weddings and worked with photographers. If I could give LiveLight 6 stars, I would."

"Nicki is THE best. I don’t even know where to begin with how pleased I’ve been with my Livelight Photography experience. For starters, she is extremely responsive and attentive to inquiries and questions. She is professional, timely, and incredibly flexible. These may seem like small things, but they mean a lot when planning a wedding. This aside, Nicki and Brian are unbelievably talented. She took photos (and he helped edit them) for two events of mine and I couldn’t have been even a tiny bit happier. Their work is gorgeous.

My highest priority was finding someone whose style was candid. I really didn’t want standard “posed” photography for our big day. My expectations were exceeded. I had very small “courthouse” wedding that took place on the National Mall in Washington, DC. Only a few people were there to witness it, but the photos tell the story of our special day. Everyone who has seen the photographs has been so impressed and it has little to do with us. I’ve been asked repeatedly who took our pictures and that they are “so classy” and very “old Hollywood.” They embody something I never envisioned. Somehow, she made us shine. My husband and I don’t photograph particularly well, and honestly, you would never know. She managed to produce amazing photo after amazing photo. Somehow while doing all of this, she was also unobtrusive. She strikes an incredible balance of staying back and letting things unfold naturally, while comfortably "unsticking" situations that need to be helped along.

As a side note, I felt very anxious the hours before our ceremony. It had nothing to do with who I was marrying, but all the details that go along with “your big day.” Because I had such a small wedding, I had very few people around to help me navigate through that stress. Nicki showed up and from the moment I met her, I started to feel better. I didn’t even know her, but she somehow knew what I needed (without being pushy or invasive). Her calming presence really helped me get through a few tough hours. It was obvious she’s used to dealing with weddings, people, and intense moments. She brought such a calming presence “to the table.” I could never convey completely what she gave me that day. It makes me teary just thinking about it.

In addition, she came to our family celebration (essentially our reception) in the mountains of North Carolina. People were running around, saying odd things, having tearful moments, etc., and none of it phased her. She remained the rock that she is and moved effortlessly through the chaos and again, provided us with another set of magnificent photographs. They are so beautiful I can hardly stand it. I want to frame them all and cover my walls. She is so gifted.

My husband always says that if I love something, you’re going to know it. I will talk up any good experience I have, any great food I eat, or any product I find worthwhile. I’m dying to do this about Livelight photography except we live in different states, so it’s harder to tell people, “YOU HAVE TO HIRE THEM,” even though I want to tell everyone. If I sound crazy, it’s because I am- about Nicki, she really impressed both my husband and I. It is pure kismet that she was our photographer and of all of the wedding decisions we made, she was our most fortunate choice. I wish I could hire her for every major event in my life to capture all the beauty she finds around her."

"Y'all, I can't even begin to tell you how amazing our experience was with Nicki and Brian. Photography was the most important thing for us, and we were so lucky to stumble across LiveLight. They were the first vendor we picked, and with good reason! From the moment Nicki called us to get to know us before we even booked, we knew we were in good hands, but we are still floored with how happy we are with our photography. Nicki was ready to travel all over the state with us to make sure we had the perfect location for our pictures, and it paid off in spades. She kept us happy and focused while an entire mountain's worth of spectators watched us take our engagement photos and still made us look like we were the only people on earth. Additionally, Nicki was in contact with us frequently throughout our engagement, giving us things to think about over time, rather than the last minute crunch, and putting us at ease that she had not forgotten our big day. She was quickly answering all of our questions and put up with our multiple venue changes when booking. We paid a totally middle of the road fee for superior quality and service. Best. Choice. Ever."
